JEE Main 2016 Eligibility criteria / Important dates / online application


JEE Main (Joint Entrance Exam) is conducting for the candidates for the admission of Engineering (B.Tech, BE, B.Arch., B.Planning) courses. Candidates those who will qualify the JEE Main exam will be eligible for JEE Advanced. Then those who qualified the JEE Advanced exam will eligible to joining in B.Tech courses offered by IITs. Candidates those who are waiting for this oppourtunity can apply for the JEE Main exam. The online application dates will announce by the officials soon. The institutions from the state of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Maharashtra, Odisha, Nagaland and Uttarakhand will participate in the JEE 2016 exam. The details and eligibility criteria are given in our website below.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidates should be appeared / passed 12th standard or its equivalent from the recognized board with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Candidates those who are appeared for their 12th standard / qualifying exam in 2013 and before years are not eligible for this JEE 2016 exam

Candidates should have minimum 50% of marks in these core subjects

The General / OBC candidates should bear on or after 1st October 1991

SC / ST / PWD candidates should bear on or after 1st October 1986

The Date of Birth will consider as per the Secondary education board

Online Application:

Candidates should apply for the JEE Main 2016 exam through online from the official website

The online application dates will announce by the official soon

The application will be expect in the month of November 2016 in First week

And the last date for apply for this exam may be upto December 2016 (tentatively)

Candidates should have to pay the application fee as per their category

The fee details are given below as per last year

Offline mode: (Exam centers opted in India)

For Paper 1 or 2:

For General / OBC candidates : Rs.1000

For SC / ST / PWD / Girls : Rs.500

Paper 1 and 2 (Both):

For General / OBC candidates : Rs.1800

For SC / ST / PWD / Girls : Rs.900

Exam centers opted in Foreign country:

Paper 1 or 2:

For General / OBC candidates : Rs.2500

For SC / ST / PWD / Girls : Rs.1250

Paper 1 and 2 (Both):

For General / OBC candidates: Rs.3800

For SC / ST / PWD / Girls : Rs.1900

For paper 1 or 2:

JEE Main 2016 pattern:

Candidates those who are applying for BE / B.Tech will apply for paper 1

Candidates those who are applying for B.Arch / B.Planning will apply for paper 2

Interested candidates can apply for both papers

Paper 1:

Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as objective type questions

Paper 2:

Three parts are available in this papers

Part 1 will contain the questions from Mathematics

Part 2 will contain the questions from Aptitude

Part 3 will contain the questions from drawing test

There is a negative marking for wrong answers

1 mark will deduct for each wrong answer

Important dates:

JEE Main online exam registration starts from November 2015

JEE Main online registration closing in December 2015

Admit card download from March 2016

JEE Main 2016 exam will conduct in April 2016

JEE Main 2016 result will declare in July 2016
