The CET is nothing but the Common Entrance Test which will be conducted for admission of students in colleges as the exams will be conducted for the courses like engineering and medical courses. In the state of Karnataka, the entrance test had been conducted at the date of 04.05.2016 and 05.06.2016.
For the common entrance test in the state of Karnataka, the applications have been availed online which have been closed on the date of 25.02.2016. The students who have finished 10th and 12th can be allowed to write the examination and the students must have score above 40% to write this test. The applications have to be filled for writing the examination and hence the applications have been distributed in the specified centers. The students who belonged to general category have paid Rs.650 whereas the students belonging to the SC, ST and OBC have paid Rs.500 for the test. The students with above 40% marks in the intermediate examinations have allowed to write this CET on the date of 04.05.2016 and 05.05.2016 and now they are awaiting for the results.
The announcement of result for the CET is in progress and now the date of the results have been announced in which the result is to be expected on the date of 28.05.2016. The students who are getting pass marks will be allowed to get admission in the colleges that are under this CET and the failed students cant be able to join the colleges or universities. As the questions for the students in the test had been asked from the syllabuses of their courses in the higher studies, the students will get pass marks in the test and so that they can be qualified in joining the colleges or universities. The students mostly will get pass marks in this examination rather than getting fail marks and in the medical courses, there are chance for the students to get fail marks as the syllabuses are tough in the medical course.
Procedures for Counselling
After the announcement of the results, the examination authority of Karnataka will conduct the counselling in which counselling is conducted for admission of the students to various colleges. The students who are qualified in the CET examinations will be made to join the colleges that the students prefer in their city or other cities and so on. The students who got pass marks are asked to visit the helpline centers after the announcement of the result. After that the students will be called for the document verification in which the necessary documents are as listed below,
- KCET Admission Ticket
- Class 12th Mark Sheets
- Recent passport size photographs in 2 no’s
- Copy of the filled application form of KCET
- Study certificate signed by BEO/DDPI of concern.
