The TANCET is nothing but the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test which had been conducted by Anna University in which the exam offers the candidates to make entry to MBA, ME, MCA, M.Plan, M.Tech, and M.Arch. The TANCET examinations have some eligibility criteria’s and they are giving below.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who are willing for the TANCET exam should have the following criteria’s,

  • The candidate should hold degrees like B.E/B.Arch. /B.Tech/B.Pharm/B.Sc. in Agri/Horticulture/Forestry/Fishery and also same as Master degree in relevant branch and so on.
  • The candidate bearing the degree should hold marks of 50% which is for General Category and 45% for the Reserved Category.

Application Form

The interested and eligible candidates can apply for this examination through both online and offline modes. Before that the following documents should be with the candidates for enclosing the application form and the list of documents are given below,

  • 10th mark sheet copy or equivalent course mark sheet copy.
  • 12th mark sheet copy or diploma certificate copy which should be about 3 years.
  • Should have demand draft copy for the fee paid.
  • Candidates should have permanent certificates like community certificate which should be issued by Tamil Nadu Government.

Applying through offline mode

The candidates can buy the application form in nearby coordinating centers and can pay the fees by means of demand draft.

Applying through online mode

The candidates can apply online by means of submitting the online application in the website in which they should fill the details correctly and should upload the recently taken photographs and signature copy in the respective columns. Then after filling the application, submit the application and take a printout of the application. The generated application along with the above given documents should be made in an envelope and are asked to send to examination center within the given date.

Anna University TANCET Admission process

The admission process for the TANCET 2016 was made by three categories as GATE category, TANCET category and sponsored candidate’s category. In the TANCET category, the candidates will be admitted b using the TANCET scores which should be valid. In the GATE category, the candidate should possess required GATE score and then finally for the sponsored category, there will be limited seats for those who are working on Government organizations with at least 5 years of experience.
